CrimethInc. Gleeful Ludic Throng-Hunter/Gatherer Audio Zine (2008)
back to topTo keep the momentum of the CrimethInc. Hunter/Gatherer project going, the CrimethInc. Gleeful Ludic Throng is excited to offer their most ambitious project yet. The hand-set lead letters were hand-letterpressed onto the durable chipboard casing with the booklet inside summarizing the project's sentiment nicely:
These people are just like you. It doesn't matter who they are. They have the same insecurities and potential as you. Always curious.
This Audio Zine is haunting and whimsical, redefining musical and spoken word boundaries. Each track is its own folk tale narrating a new oral history, even when it stutters.

Froseph-Deep Breath (2007)
back to topHarmonizing surprising vocal stylings with a dynamic assortment of instrumental tactics, Froseph takes both an aggressive and soft spoken approach with the songs on his 3rd full-length album “Deep Breath.” It's both slow and fast-paced, smooth and rough, coping with deep-rooted insecurities and confronting a long-avoided past of sexual abuse, denial and their affects on everyday interactions while simultaneously constructing a sense of optimism and buoyancy. Recorded over several months in his basement bedroom with a laptop and a microphone and packaged with a plastic-free case that was hand-letterpressed in a garage, put out by the CrimethInc. Ex-Workers' Collective.
From the hand-screened cover [sic] to the poetic lyrics, Deep Breath is a personal release. Froseph is a one-man experimental riot-folk [sic] unit whose music is his way of dealing with painful events in his past. The lyrics are extremely beautiful and filled with emotion. The honesty and bravery in these words was enough to bring tears to my eyes. It's actually amazing how he can make such deceptively upbeat music with such dark lyrics. This CD is like a poetic personal zine put together on a four-track. I wish I could write a longer review for this, but I'm absolutely stunned."

Froseph-Twinkle Pig #4 Audio Zine (2006)
back to topTwinkle Pig #4 is an Audio Zine with Froseph's 2nd full length album included in the inside back cover. It is a concept album about the physical, emotional, and spiritual evolution out of civilization. It's busy but pleasing cut-and-paste style layout includes all the lyrics along with additional writing about each song.
"It's anti-civ, from the heart, and way more than a 'liner notes' kind of thing. Kind of puts me in mind of a musical Fire and Ice. I think we could use a great, ascending chorus of such jargon-free, no-holds-barred cries. Gives one ideas about being less afraid to unlimber our deepest feelings and desires."

Cassiopeia-Into Wishin' #2 Audio Zine (2007)
back to topWith a unique and eerie sound of her own, Cassiopeia is easily as lovable as Joanna Newsom, Mirah, or CocoRosie. Her beautifully layered, self-recorded songs are attacks on businessmen, concrete, police, and miscommunications. Her love and confusion is easy to relate to, and her soft sound is shattering.
